Diplomats and officials attended the 20th anniversary celebration of the Asia-Africa Development and Exchange Society of China (AADESC) in Beijing on February 5.

AADESC Chairman Qian Yongnian said the society has developed into a key platform for all-round Sino-Asian-African communication, diplomacy, economic and cultural exchanges and regional cooperation.

Munshi Faiz Ahmad, Bangladeshi ambassador to China, Charles Mumbala Nzanku, ambassador from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Prof. Li Yihu, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress, praised organisation's role in boosting ties.

Bangladeshi Ambassador Munshi Faiz Ahmad said Bangladesh and China have a solid partnership and that Bangladesh, the world's fourth largest textile exporting country, owes many of its achievements to Chinese assistance.

AADESC, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1989 in Beijing.
