Two hundred and twenty students from over 50 universities in England and Scotland arrived in Shanghai on Monday to learn about China.
The students will be staying at the East China Normal University under the three-week study program funded by the Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills in Britain and the Scottish government.
Organizers say that the response to the program has been overwhelming.
The students will learn Chinese traditional culture such as calligraphy and shadowboxing. They will also visit major local and multinational enterprises and have a half-day internship in local enterprises.
